BurlyCon Is the World's Only Burlesque Convention
Bringing you the best burlesque teachers all in one place. Whether you're looking to learn new moves, refine your acts or master the business end of burlesque, we'll have a class for you! Need costume inspiration or trying to find that perfect accoutrement? Shop in the vending hall between classes to find that one thing to complete your costume!
At BurlyCon when we get together we grow together! And once classes are over, get down with your peeps and get up to mischief at the dance party or cozy up next to your pals for scandalous bedtime stories. If you’re craving feedback on that pesky quick release that just won’t quickly release, head over to peer reviews. And of course there are the hallway connections and deep convos that’ll last a lifetime.
An Open Letter to the Community
This statement comes with a clear and unwavering message of frustration, empathy, unity, and hope. BurlyCon stands firmly beside our Black community with togetherness, strength, and though a million words can be said, three ring out the most – Black Lives Matter!
It’s not just a movement. It’s a symbol of ideals that are the most basic of human rights – the easiest to give, yet the hardest to win. We are focusing our attention to support activists and protesters, but also to those who live through injustice, inequality, and brutality EVERY day.
“Freedom is never given. It is won.” – a quote nearly a century old and we are saddened to see it is still true. We stand with you, and we stand with Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, and the countless others who were subjected to police brutality.
We continue our resolve to better fulfill our mission of supporting the growth, health, and multicultural diversity of the international burlesque community. In solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, BurlyCon will amplify information and resources on our website and social media platforms. We will shine a spotlight on those in the community who are on the ground fighting police brutality and white supremacy. We welcome you to direct message us so that we can signal boost local activism in your community.
